Sona Comstar Partners with DENSO for EV Powertrain JVs

Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited (Sona Comstar) has entered into definitive agreements with Japan's DENSO Corporation to form two joint ventures in India. These JVs will focus on developing, designing, manufacturing, and marketing advanced electric and hybrid powertrain systems. One JV will concentrate on high-voltage liquid-cooled systems for four-wheelers and larger vehicles, with DENSO holding 51% equity. The second JV will focus on air-cooled systems and e-Axles for two and three-wheelers, where Sona Comstar will retain 51% equity after transferring its existing business. The partnership aims to leverage DENSO's technology and Sona Comstar's manufacturing expertise to meet the growing demand for electric mobility solutions.
