Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited announced its Q1 FY27 financial results, reporting a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹550 Crores, a 25% year-on-year increase. This growth was driven by healthy premium growth, disciplined underwriting, and operating efficiencies. Underwriting Profit saw a significant jump to ₹111 Crores from ₹16 Crores in Q1 FY26. Gross Written Premium (GWP) grew 19% YoY to ₹4,287 Crores, with fresh retail health GWP increasing by 37% YoY to ₹730 Crores. The company also highlighted improvements in its Combined Insurance Service Ratio (CISR) to 97.0% and a notable 6x growth in Underwriting Profit. Digital initiatives, including the ATOM PRO platform and customer app, continue to be key growth drivers, with 97% of fresh policies sourced digitally.
