Sudarshan Chemical Sells VP4 Frankfurt to Celanese

Sudarshan Chemical Industries Limited has announced the sale of its step-down subsidiary, VP4 Frankfurt GmbH, to Celanese Corporation, USA. VP4 Frankfurt is primarily engaged in the manufacture of Diketene as a tolling operator for Nutrinova, an affiliate of Celanese. This divestment is part of Sudarshan's strategy to sharpen its focus on its core pigments business. The transaction is expected to strengthen Sudarshan's strategic focus and operational position. Nutrinova will continue to supply Sudarshan with necessary materials post-transaction. Rajesh Rathi, Chairman & Managing Director, stated the sale aligns with the company's value creation in pigments and colorants.
