Sudarshan Chemical to Acquire Clariant's Aluminium Dyes Plant
Sudarshan Chemical Industries Ltd, through its step-down subsidiary Sudarshan Switzerland SLO AG, has entered into a definitive Asset Sale and Transfer Agreement with Clariant Additives (Switzerland) AG to acquire its aluminium dyes and chemicals manufacturing plant in Muttenz, Switzerland. The acquisition includes the plant that has historically manufactured Sudarshan's Aluminium Dyes portfolio, including brands like Sanodal®, Sanodure®, Sanodye®, and Anodal®. This move aims to convert a supply relationship into direct ownership. The transaction is valued at a base price of seven million Swiss Francs (CHF 7,000,000) plus inventory value, and is subject to customary conditions precedent. This acquisition is expected to strengthen Sudarshan's global presence in the aluminium dyes segment, which are crucial colorants for anodized aluminium used in automotive, consumer electronics, and packaging.
