Suven Life Sciences: Phase-2b Trial of Ropanicant Shows Positive Results

Suven Life Sciences announced positive topline results from its Phase-2b clinical trial for Ropanicant, an investigational drug for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a clinically meaningful improvement in the MADRS score compared to placebo at Week 6. Ropanicant 45 mg twice daily showed statistically significant results (p=0.038) and was generally well-tolerated with no unexpected safety signals. Evidence of benefit was also observed in secondary endpoints. The company plans to initiate a global Phase-3 registrational study in MDD.
