
Suzlon Secures 201.6 MW Wind Order from Waaree Group
Suzlon Energy has secured a 201.6 MW wind turbine order from Waaree Forever Energies Private Limited (WFEPL), the Independent Power Producer (IPP) arm of Waaree Group. This order, executed under Suzlon's DevCo model, will see the supply of 64 units of S144 (3.15 MW) wind turbine generators for a project in Andhra Pradesh. Suzlon will provide a comprehensive EPC offering, including land acquisition, turbine supply, Balance of Plant (BoP), commissioning, and lifetime operations & maintenance. This marks Waaree Group's maiden wind project and is Suzlon's second consecutive DevCo-led EPC order within a week, highlighting the growing industry preference for the DevCo model for faster execution and de-risking.
