Siddharth Mittal Appointed MD & CEO of Syngene International

Syngene International announced that Siddharth Mittal has assumed the role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2026. Mittal succeeds Peter Bains and brings nearly three decades of business leadership experience. He joins Syngene from Biocon Limited, where he previously served as Managing Director and CEO, and before that, as Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure at Biocon, he played a key role in shaping strategic direction, strengthening commercial operations, expanding global presence, and securing regulatory approvals. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Executive Chairperson of Syngene, expressed confidence in Mittal's ability to drive transformation and sustainable growth. Mittal stated his immediate priorities include sharpening commercial edge, strengthening delivery excellence, and enhancing execution focus to restore growth momentum.
