Tamilnadu Petroproducts GST Demand Reduced to ₹4.05 Lakhs

Tamilnadu Petroproducts Ltd has received a favorable order from the Commissioner (Appeals-I) regarding a GST demand. The original demand of ₹4,25,21,134/- along with interest and a penalty of ₹42,49,562/- under Section 73 of CGST Act, 2017/TNGST Act 2017 has been significantly reduced. The appeal was partially allowed, with the demand now standing at ₹4,05,526/- (excluding interest and penalty). This reduction is from an original demand of ₹4,67,70,696/- (inclusive of interest and penalty). The company states there is no material impact on its financial, operational, or other activities due to this reduction.
