Tata Power Renewable Energy Commissions Largest 1 GW DCR-Compliant Solar Project for SJVN

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has successfully commissioned SJVN Limited’s 1 GW (1,000 MW AC/1,400 MWp DC) DCR-compliant solar power project, the largest solar project commissioned by TPREL to date. The project, spread across Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand, is expected to generate approximately 2,454.84 million units of green electricity in its first year of operation, offsetting nearly 1.74 million tonnes of CO2. The project has been executed with advanced DCR-compliant cells, mono bifacial DCR modules, and high-performance inverters, and has provided employment to over 300 local workers and enabled the development of more than 25 local vendors. With this commissioning, TPREL’s third party utility-scale RE project capacity stands at 4.9 GW.
