Insolvency Resolution Process Commenced for Telephone Cables Ltd by NCLT

The Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process of Telephone Cables Limited has been initiated by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) via an order dated 19.02.2026. This follows the transfer of a winding up petition (CP No.272 of 2003) from the Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh. The winding up order was passed on 24.07.2015, and the Official Liquidator attached to the High Court was appointed as the Liquidator. The NCLT Chandigarh will proceed with the matter from the same stage at which it had reached before the High Court. The case involves a loan of INR 512.37 lakhs (among others) taken from IDBI in 1986 for setting up a manufacturing project, which the company failed to adhere to financially.
