Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited has completed the acquisition of Jindal Rail Infrastructure Limited (JRIL) for a final cash consideration of Rs. 614 Crores. This acquisition enhances Texmaco's international product portfolio, design capabilities, and market presence in the freight wagons sector. JRIL, a leading manufacturer of commodity-specific freight wagons, has delivered over 8,600 wagons to customers in India and internationally since its inception in 2012. The strategic rationale for the acquisition includes JRIL's G-105 certification, surplus land bank for expansion, foundry expertise for future vertical integration, cost savings through bulk material purchases, enhanced EBITDA margins, and strategic expansion into Western India.
