Thirumalai Chemicals' Subsidiary Commences Pre-commissioning and Start-up Activities at New West Virginia Facility

Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd's step-down wholly owned subsidiary, TCL Specialties LLC, USA, has started pre-commissioning and start-up activities at its new manufacturing facility in West Virginia, USA. The facility houses two major plants: a Maleic Anhydride (MAN) plant with a capacity of over 40,000 tons/yr and a Food Ingredients plant with a capacity of over 30,000 tons/yr. The MAN plant will cater to underserved markets in the North-Eastern, Mid-West US and other regional markets, while the Food Ingredients plant will cater to customers in North America, LATAM and EU. The plants are based on TCL India's proprietary and patented technologies, ensuring low investment, high energy & cost efficiency, automation, and safety. The project's investment is about $255 million, met by equity and debt.
