Titagarh Naval Systems Receives In-Principle Approval for Brownfield Capacity Expansion
Titagarh Naval Systems Limited (TNSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Titagarh Rail Systems Limited, has received an in-principle approval from the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways for its Brownfield Capacity Expansion Project at Falta under the Shipbuilding Development Scheme (SbDS). The project is eligible for Capital Assistance of up to ₹1,28,89,06,006, subject to receipt of final approval and compliance with the applicable provisions of the Scheme. The total project cost is approximately INR 610 crore, with the Government extending capital assistance of around INR 129 crore towards eligible plant and machinery. This expansion will substantially enhance TNSL's infrastructure and technological capabilities, enabling the shipyard to cater to defence, commercial, and export-oriented shipbuilding requirements.
