Torrent Power Incorporates Two New SPVs for Renewable Energy

Torrent Power Ltd announced the incorporation of two new Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), Torrent Urja 50 Private Limited and Torrent Urja 51 Private Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Torrent Green Energy Private Limited. These SPVs, incorporated in India on August 19, 2026, will focus on renewable energy generation, including hydrogen and its derivatives, as well as power trading. Each SPV was incorporated with a share capital of ₹5,00,000, representing 100% ownership by Torrent Green Energy Private Limited. This move signifies Torrent Power's continued expansion in the renewable energy sector.
