Torrent Power Subsidiary Wins 300 MW Wind Power Projects Award from SECI

Torrent Green Energy Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Torrent Power Ltd, has received two Letters of Award from Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) for setting up 300 MW ISTS connected Wind power projects under Wind Tranche-XVIIl. The projects, consisting of 175 MW and 125 MW capacities, were awarded under the Tariff based Competitive Bid Route. The power purchase agreement (PPA) tariff is set at 3.97 per kWh. The projects are expected to be commissioned within 24 months from the PPA and have an approximate project cost of 2,650 Crore. The order does not involve any related party transactions and was awarded by a domestic entity.
