TARIL Invests ₹1,250 Cr in 3 Greenfield Plants in Gujarat
Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited (TARIL) announced an investment of ₹1,250 crore to establish three greenfield manufacturing plants at its Chiyada manufacturing complex in Gujarat. These new facilities will produce critical transformer components like Bushings (OIP, RIP & RIF up to 800 kV), Pressboard & Insulation Materials, and Continuously Transposed Conductors (CTC). This move aims to localize manufacturing, reduce import dependence, and strengthen India's power infrastructure. Construction began in December 2025, with commercial operations expected in Q1 FY2027-28. The plants are projected to generate an annual revenue potential of ₹2,000 crore and create over 1,000 direct jobs. This investment aligns with India's 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives.
