TARIL Secures Rs. 53.33 Cr Order for HVDC Converter Transformer, Enters 'Unique Club' of Global Manufacturers

Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited (TARIL) has secured an order of Rs. 53.33 Cr for the repair, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 397 MVA HVDC Converter Transformer and related works. This order is a significant milestone as TARIL is the first Indian Origin Private Sector Company to receive such an order, entering it into the 'unique club' of HVDC transformer manufacturers. This order aligns with the government of India’s ‘Make in India’ vision and provides an indigenous manufacturer for HVDC Transformers in the domestic market. The Indian HVDC transformer market is growing rapidly due to renewable integration, grid upgrades, and long-distance power transfer needs.
