TCI Seaways Takes Delivery of 500-TEU Container Carrier 'TCI SETU'

Transport Corporation of India Ltd (TCI) announced that its division, TCI Seaways, has taken delivery of a new 500-TEU cellular container carrier, named 'TCI SETU', on October 29, 2026. This addition augments the company's existing shipping capacity, which currently comprises six ships with a total capacity of 78,120 DWT and over 8,500 marine containers. The investment for this new vessel amounts to INR 1,78,81,97,273.61 and has been financed through internal accruals. The company had previously entered into an agreement with Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering Co. Ltd. for the construction of two such vessels.
