Ugar Sugar Works: High Court Sets Aside KSPCB Closure Order

Ugar Sugar Works Ltd has announced that the High Court, in a hearing on September 11, 2026, has set aside the closure order issued by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB). Following a previous direction from the High Court on September 7, 2026, KSPCB officials had conducted a site visit. The court has instructed KSPCB to conduct a fresh inspection during the crushing season and issue new directions if any non-compliance is found. The Ugar Khurd plant remains fully operational.
