KD Green Industries Ltd. (formerly Manbro Industries Ltd) has announced its Board of Directors has approved, in principle, a proposed merger with KD Iron & Steel Private Limited. This strategic move aims to create a diversified industrial conglomerate focused on green manufacturing of steel products, AAC Blocks, and infrastructure steel for various sectors. KD Iron & Steel, a leading steel manufacturer in North-East India under the XTECH brand, boasts significant furnace and rolling capacities. The merger is contingent upon due diligence, statutory approvals, and regulatory clearances. KD Green Industries is also investing ₹325 Crore in capacity expansion and a 25MW captive solar power plant, with plans to appoint brand ambassadors Sanjay Dutt and Nishita Goswami to enhance market presence.
