
UNO Minda Ltd. Approves Rs. 210 Crores Capital Expenditure for New Manufacturing Plant in Indonesia and Rs. 283 Crores for New Facility in Harohalli, Karnataka
UNO Minda Ltd. has approved a total capital expenditure of Rs. 210 Crores for setting up a new Manufacturing Plant by its Wholly Owned Subsidiary, PT Minda Asean Automotive (PTMA), in Indonesia. The new plant will manufacture automotive parts such as Tail Lamp, Back Up lamp & HMSL, marking a significant diversification into the passenger car segment. Once commissioned, the existing plant will be relocated to the new site to consolidate operations and achieve economies of scale. Additionally, the Board has approved a capital expenditure of Rs. 283 Crores for setting up a new facility in Harohalli, Karnataka by Toyoda Gosei South India Private Limited (TGSIN), an Associate of the Company. This new facility will increase TGSIN's present capacity by addition of 9 IMM (Injection Moulding Machines) to meet future demand and cater to the increased demand of key customers. The new facility will manufacture safety systems (airbags, steering wheels, etc.) and interior and exterior products (console boxes, etc.). The operations at this new facility are expected to commence in Q1 FY 2027.
