
Urja Global AGM approves $500M fundraise, ESOP scheme, director changes
Urja Global Ltd. shareholders, at their 34th Annual General Meeting on September 22, 2026, approved several key proposals. These include the appointment of Dr. Anuradha Tomar as a Non-Executive Independent Director and the continuation of Dr. Gopalsetty Prasad Rao in the same role. Shareholders also re-appointed Mr. Mohan Jagdish Agarwal as Managing Director and Mr. Yogesh Kumar Goyal as Whole-Time Director. A significant approval was for the UGL ESOP Scheme – 2026, creating an option pool of 56,00,000 employee stock options, extendable to subsidiary employees. Furthermore, the company received approval to raise funds aggregating up to USD 500 Million through various instruments like QIP, FCCBs, Rights Issue, FPO, or Private Placement.
