Uttam Distilleries to Expand Distillery Capacity from 40 KLPD to 160 KLPD

The board of directors of Uttam Distilleries Limited, a subsidiary company of Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd, has approved the increase in the distillery capacity from 40 KLPD to 160 KLPD. The proposed capacity addition is 120 KLPD, which will be added by March, 2027. The project cost is Rs. 110 Crore, which will be financed partly through own sources/ Promoters. contribution and Loans/Borrowings. The rationale behind this expansion is the Government of India's encouragement of mixing ethanol with fuel for its eco-friendly nature and foreign exchange savings for the country.
