Vardhman Polytex Repays ₹1.5 Cr OCD Principal

Vardhman Polytex Ltd has made a part repayment of ₹1,50,00,000 (Rupees One Crore Fifty Lakhs) towards the principal amount of its secured, redeemable, and optionally convertible debentures (OCDs) held by Special Situation India Fund. This payment, made on September 15, 2026, is funded by an advance received from the sale of its land in Ludhiana, Punjab. The repayment is in accordance with the OCD Subscription cum Trust Deed, which allows for mandatory redemption upon monetization of mortgaged properties. The repayment is being effected by a pro-rata reduction in the face value of each OCD, reducing it from ₹1,00,000 to ₹90,000, while the total number of OCDs remains 1,500. The outstanding principal balance is now ₹13,50,00,000, plus applicable interest and other charges. The company is coordinating with relevant parties to complete the necessary formalities.
