Vedant Fashions Director Ms. Abanti Mitra Passes Away

Vedant Fashions Limited has announced the demise of its Independent Director, Ms. Abanti Mitra, on July 13, 2026. Ms. Mitra had been serving as a Non-Executive Independent Director since September 2021 and was a valued contributor to the Board and its committees. Her passing is considered an irreparable loss to the company. The company stated that it will ensure the adequate reconstitution of the Board and its committees as required by law. Ms. Mitra also held a directorship at Spandana Sphoorty Financial Limited as Chairperson and Non-Executive Independent Director, where she was a member of the Audit Committee and the Asset-Liability Management Committee.
