Vedanta Subsidiary ESL Steel's Statutory Auditors Resign

Lodha & Co LLP, the Statutory Auditors of ESL Steel Limited (ESL), a material subsidiary of Vedanta Iron And Steel Ltd (VISL), have resigned with immediate effect. The resignation, dated August 26, 2026, is to facilitate the alignment of auditors with the Group Auditor Framework and the holding company (VISL). ESL became a material subsidiary of VISL following the demerger of iron ore and steel businesses from Vedanta Limited. The auditors confirmed no other material reason for their resignation. The appointment of VISL's statutory auditor as ESL's auditor is intended.
