Vishnu Chemicals & DCX Chrome Form 50/50 JV for Chromium Plant

Vishnu Chemicals Limited (VCL) and France's DCX Chrome SAS have entered into a strategic 50/50 joint venture to establish a greenfield chromium metal plant in Visakhapatnam, India. The new facility will have a capacity of 6,000 MTPA and will focus on producing high-purity chromium metal for aerospace, defense, and energy sectors. This venture aims to leverage DCX's process technology and VCL's manufacturing expertise and raw material supply to reduce India's reliance on imported chromium metal and bolster domestic capabilities in advanced engineering materials. The project is expected to create high-skilled employment and contribute to regional development.
