Voltas and Atomberg form JV for AC compressor manufacturing

Voltas Limited, a Tata Group company, has signed a Binding Term Sheet with Atomberg Innovation Private Limited to establish a Joint Venture (JV) for manufacturing high-efficiency Room Air Conditioner (RAC) compressors and related parts in India. The JV aims to enhance technology capabilities, localization, and supply chain resilience. Voltas will be an anchor customer, leveraging Atomberg's proprietary compressor technology and engineering expertise. This partnership aligns with the goal of strengthening domestic manufacturing and meeting evolving energy efficiency standards. The transaction is subject to due diligence and definitive agreements.
