Voltas Announces Board Changes: Tata Retires, D’Souza Appointed Chairman

Voltas Ltd has announced significant changes in its Board of Directors. Mr. Noel N. Tata will retire as Chairman and Director effective November 11, 2026, upon reaching superannuation. He will be appointed Chairman Emeritus from November 12, 2026. Mr. Sunil Alaric D’Souza has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Company, effective November 12, 2026. Additionally, Mr. Mukundan Menon C.P., the current Managing Director, will complete his tenure on May 24, 2027, and retire. Mr. Jayant Balan is appointed as Additional Director and Managing Director for a five-year term starting May 25, 2027, subject to shareholder approval. Mr. Balan will serve as Managing Director Designate until then. Mr. Venkatesalu Palaniswamy has also been appointed as an Additional Director (Non-Independent Non-Executive) effective November 12, 2026. These changes are part of a planned succession process and align with Tata Group's governance and retirement policies.
