Waaree Renewable Technologies signs ECI Agreement for NZ solar-BESS project

Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL) has signed an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Agreement with a Special Purpose Vehicle of a leading global Independent Power Producer (IPP). This agreement is for the development of a utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) project integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in New Zealand. This marks WRTL's strategic entry into the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) renewable energy market. The ECI agreement is for preliminary work and is valid for approximately 4 months. Upon successful completion of the ECI phase, the Principal may award the EPC contract to the consortium, with project execution timelines estimated at 24 months. The company received the Letter of Award on July 27, 2026.
