
Welspun Enterprises to exit Aunta-Simaria project for ~₹1,000 Cr EV
Welspun Enterprises Ltd has entered into a Securities Subscription and Purchase Agreement (SSPA) with BIIF Infrastructure II Private Limited to divest its entire shareholding in Welspun Aunta-Simaria Project Private Limited (WASPPL). WASPPL operates the Aunta-Simaria Ganga River Bridge Highway Project in Bihar. The transaction, valued at an Enterprise Value (EV) of approximately ₹1,000 Crore, is subject to approvals from NHAI and lenders. This divestment aligns with Welspun Enterprises' strategy to adopt an asset-light model and recycle capital for future growth. WASPPL is not a material subsidiary, and shareholder approval is not required. The deal is expected to be completed by September 30, 2026.
