Zelio E Mobility Opens New Coimbatore Plant, Adds 60,000 Units Capacity

Zelio E Mobility Ltd has inaugurated a new manufacturing plant in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to enhance its production capacity. The new facility, spanning 39,000 sq. ft., will add 60,000 units per annum, bringing the total capacity to 2,40,000 units. This expansion aims to strengthen the company's presence in South India, improve delivery timelines, optimize logistics, and achieve greater operating leverage. The investment for this expansion is up to ₹1 crore, to be financed through internal accruals. The plant is expected to commence production in Q2 FY 2026-27 and will initially focus on electric two-wheelers, catering to markets in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and South Maharashtra.
