General Atlantic Singapore RR Pte Ltd, the promoter of Rubicon Research, sold 1,40,00,000 shares (8.45% of share capital) on market: 1,46,927 shares on August 25 and 1,38,53,073 on August 26. Its holding went from 5,92,58,360 shares (35.79%) to 4,52,58,360 shares (27.34%). The disclosure under Regulation 29(2) of the SAST Regulations reached the exchange on August 27 at 14:48 IST.
Exchange block-deal data for August 26 shows a trade of 8,43,372 shares at ₹1,660 between General Atlantic and Aranda Investments Pte Ltd, a Temasek entity. At that price the full 1.40 crore shares would be worth about ₹2,324 crore; press reports put the total at ₹2,299.6 crore. The filing does not state the consideration or the other buyers.

Rubicon listed on October 16, 2025 after an IPO of ₹1,377.5 crore at ₹485 a share: ₹500 crore fresh issue and ₹877.5 crore offer for sale by General Atlantic. The stock closed its first month at ₹618 and traded between ₹610 and ₹700 until February. The move to the current level came in two legs: March to April (₹780 to ₹970) and June to August (₹1,006 to ₹1,800), including an 11% rise on August 17, the first session after Q1 results.
Q1 FY27 consolidated revenue was ₹534.3 crore and profit after tax ₹84.8 crore, up 95.8% on the year. The profit figure was helped by a one-time insurance claim; EBITDA margin was 24.6% and the company raised its full-year margin guidance to at least 23%. Trailing four-quarter consolidated profit is about ₹288 crore, which puts the stock at roughly 104 times trailing earnings at the August 28 close.

USFDA inspected it in May 2026 and issued a Form 483 with six observations, described by the company as largely procedural; corrective actions have been submitted.
