Jeena Sikho Lifecare's consolidated Q1 FY27 (quarter ended June 30, 2026) print shows revenue of ₹224.40 Cr, up 28.8% YoY (from ₹174.29 Cr) and 4.1% QoQ, with PAT of ₹65.89 Cr, up 28.5% YoY (from ₹51.27 Cr) and 46.2% QoQ. Because revenue and profit grew almost in lockstep YoY, net margin held essentially flat at 29.36% versus 29.24% a year ago — but that headline masks a real deterioration underneath: operating margin (PBT + finance cost + depreciation − other income, over revenue) compressed to 41.03% from 45.19% a year ago, a 416bps YoY squeeze, even as it improved sharply from 36.15% in the seasonally softer Q4 FY26. The gap between the two margins was bridged almost entirely by other income, which jumped roughly 13x YoY to ₹14.33 Cr from ₹1.07 Cr — without that swing, PAT growth would have been closer to high-single-digits YoY rather than the 28.5% reported. Both revenue and PAT came in below the (non-formal, trailing-growth) Q1 FY27 estimates published by Univest — revenue ₹245-281 Cr, PAT ₹68-86 Cr — though this isn't a formal institutional consensus and should be read cautiously.
Q1 FY-2027 vs prior quarters
The operating-margin squeeze traces to costs running well ahead of revenue: employee benefits expense rose 53.5% YoY (₹45.99 Cr vs ₹29.96 Cr), depreciation 59.4% YoY (₹15.39 Cr vs ₹9.65 Cr), and finance costs more than doubled (₹3.47 Cr vs ₹1.66 Cr) — consistent with the capacity build-out (clinics, staff, wellness infrastructure) management flagged on the Q4 FY26 call, ahead of the revenue those assets are meant to generate. At the segment level, Ayurvedic products/medicines revenue grew 47.8% YoY to ₹118.28 Cr while Ayurvedic healthcare services grew a slower 11.1% YoY to ₹104.75 Cr; products drove this quarter's topline beat, aided by new launches (Amrit Dhara Drops, pain-relief patches) and a wellness-centre agreement signed August 6. Segment margins compressed at both businesses YoY — products to 34.9% from 37.6%, services to 40.8% from 45.5% — mirroring the group-level trend.
The stock went into the print at ₹598.1, up 1.1% over the past month of trading.
For context: this is the second-highest quarterly PAT of the last 5 quarters; revenue is at a 5-quarter high.
What the summary numbers don't show
Consolidated basic EPS ₹5.30, up from ₹4.12 a year ago and ₹3.63 in Q4 FY26
Management is highly optimistic about future growth, projecting a 4x to 5x increase in PAT within 3-5 years, with a target revenue of INR 3,000 crores. They anticipate a 50-50 split between the services and products businesses. The company plans to significantly expand its bed capacity, aiming for 7,000 to 10,000 beds
Management's Q4 FY26 guidance was long-horizon (4-5x PAT and ₹3,000 Cr revenue over 3-5 years, 7,000-10,000 beds over the same window, with a near-term target of 2,800-3,000 operational beds within 3-4 months of the June 2, 2026 call, i.e. by roughly September-October 2026) and isn't directly testable off one quarter's numbers; that near-term bed milestone hasn't come due yet, so vsGuidance is unknown rather than met or missed. The Board also approved selling the Derabassi hospital's land and building for ₹9.05 Cr (6-8% of standalone revenue), expected to close in Q2 FY27, with operations continuing on a leaseback — a balance-sheet move, not a revenue hit. Separately, the UAE subsidiary's planned 51% stake in Back to Roots Ayurveda (BTRS) remains stuck on regulatory registration, with only a ₹0.53 Cr profit share booked this quarter — international expansion is still pre-scale. No management press release/commentary was available in our records for this print, so the read here rests on the filing and segment note alone.

Bed-capacity ramp: management's target of 2,800-3,000 operational beds within 3-4 months of the June 2, 2026 call (~Sept-Oct 2026) — not yet visible in Q1 numbers
W2
Other income sustainability: ₹14.33 Cr this quarter vs ₹1.07 Cr a year ago cushioned NPM; a normalization would pull NPM back toward the 41% operating-margin trend

Derabassi hospital sale (₹9.05 Cr) expected to close in Q2 FY27 — watch treatment of the gain and post-sale lease terms
Figures converted from Rs. lacs (÷100). Consolidated PAT taken as 'Profit for the quarter' (₹65.89 Cr, incl. NCI loss of ₹0.06 Cr) to match our historical comparison convention; owners-attributable PAT (used for EPS) is slightly higher at ₹65.95 Cr. No exceptional/one-off items in either the current or year-ago quarter, so no adjusted-YoY figure is needed.
