L&T Technology Services' consolidated (primary) revenue came in at ₹3,040.4 Cr, up 12.1% YoY on a like-for-like continuing-operations basis (comparatives restated after the Smart World & Communication, SWC, divestment) and 3.4% QoQ. Reported PAT of ₹548.7 Cr looks like a blowout, up 66.7% YoY and 53.7% QoQ, but that headline is inflated by a ₹165 Cr net-of-tax one-off gain booked on the SWC sale, which formally closed September 1. Stripping it out, adjusted PAT was ₹383.7 Cr, up 16.6% YoY and 7.5% QoQ — still ahead of revenue growth, pointing to genuine, not just one-off-driven, profitability improvement. Basic EPS was ₹51.67 on a total basis; on continuing operations alone it was ₹35.78.
Q2 FY-2027 vs prior quarters
The margin story backs the adjusted-profit read: segment EBIT margin expanded to ~20.3% from ~17.8% a year ago and ~19.4% last quarter, while continuing-ops PBT margin rose to 16.9% (~17.3% adding back finance costs) — at the top of management's guided 16-17% EBIT band. The growth, though, is uneven across segments: Sustainability led with 22.9% YoY growth (₹1,156.6 Cr), comfortably inside the double-digit guidance management reiterated last quarter, and Mobility grew 13.5% YoY (₹981.9 Cr). Tech, however, was essentially flat at ₹901.9 Cr (-0.6% YoY, +0.1% QoQ) — management had explicitly guided for Tech to "return to growth from Q2 onwards," and on these numbers that inflection hasn't shown up yet.
The stock went into the print at ₹3,614, up 8.5% over the past month of trading.
For context: this is the highest quarterly PAT in the last 6 quarters on our records; PAT has now risen for 3 consecutive quarters; revenue is at a 6-quarter high.
Management is confident about sequential revenue and margin growth in the coming quarters, reiterating a commitment to 13-15% CAGR over the next 5 years with EBIT margins maintained between 16-17%. The company expects the Tech segment to return to growth from Q2 onwards, supported by strategic partnerships and large de

Against our pre-result preview, the print is a clean beat-to-inline: Street had modelled consolidated revenue of ~₹3,033 Cr (actual ₹3,040.4 Cr, in-line) and EPS of ~₹33.6 (actual continuing-ops EPS ₹35.78, a beat), against a backdrop of mixed-to-bearish sentiment (16 Sell/14 Hold/6 Buy per our pre-result tracking) centred on valuation rather than execution. All the watch items we flagged pre-result resolved as expected: the SWC sale closed and generated the gain discussed above, the Nabha Power promoter reclassification was approved (Sep 4), and the Cognite AI partnership (Sep 24) and AI-Native EI Lab launch (Oct 12) both landed within the quarter as announced. The board also declared a ₹20/share interim dividend alongside results (record date Oct 27), as flagged pre-result. No standalone press-release commentary from management was included in this filing package to cross-check against.
