Nitin Spinners' standalone revenue from operations rose 29.6% YoY to ₹985.15 Cr in Q2 FY27 (quarter ended 30 September 2026), building on a 12.6% sequential gain over Q1 FY27's ₹875.03 Cr. Net profit more than doubled, up 154.9% YoY to ₹88.66 Cr (EPS ₹15.77) from ₹34.79 Cr (EPS ₹6.19) in Q2 FY26, and grew 17.8% QoQ from ₹75.27 Cr. Neither the current quarter nor either comparison quarter carries exceptional items, so the entire gain is operational — there is no one-off to strip out on either side.
Q2 FY-2027 vs prior quarters
The profit outperformance against revenue came from margin recovery rather than a one-off: operating margin (EBITDA/revenue from operations) expanded to 17.81% from 13.10% a year ago, a roughly 470 bps YoY gain, while staying essentially flat against Q1 FY27's 17.78%. Net margin rose to 8.99% from 4.57% YoY and 8.58% QoQ. The driver sits on the materials line — cost of materials consumed eased to 61.9% of revenue from operations versus 66.0% a year ago — with modest operating leverage on employee costs (6.5% of revenue vs 7.2% YoY) adding to it; finance cost (₹19.93 Cr) and depreciation (₹38.21 Cr) both grew only marginally against both bases. Effective tax rate held steady near 25.5% across all three quarters.
The stock went into the print at ₹658, up 8.9% over the past month of trading.
For context: this is the highest quarterly PAT in the last 6 quarters on our records; PAT has now risen for 4 consecutive quarters; revenue is at a 6-quarter high.
What the summary numbers don't show
No exceptional items in current or comparable quarters — growth is fully operational, nothing to adjust for
EBITDA margin target 16–20% for FY27 maintained; new fabric capacity to add ₹500+ Cr revenue by FY28; renewable energy savings ₹50 Cr annually from Q4 onwards; yarn capacity 100% ramp by 31 Mar 2027, fabric ramp over 6–8 months into FY28.
— This quarter: met
The 17.81% operating margin sits inside the 16–20% FY27 EBITDA margin band management reiterated on the August 2026 concall, but not yet near the top of it — the print is on track with, not ahead of, that guidance. Management's other FY27–28 guidance — new fabric capacity adding ₹500+ Cr of revenue by FY28, ₹50 Cr/year of renewable-energy savings from Q4 FY27, and a full yarn-capacity ramp by 31 March 2027 — are forward checkpoints not yet visible in this print. No confirmable brokerage consensus for this specific quarter turned up in search, so the result is not benchmarked against a street estimate here; management has also not issued a press release commentary on this result. The quarter's other corporate developments — a CRISIL 'Adequate' ESG rating (17 September) and the FY26 BRSR report release (25 August) — are routine disclosures with no bearing on the financials above.

Company has no subsidiary/associate/JV (per note iv), so only a standalone statement exists — consolidated is null, not missing. No exceptional items in current, QoQ or YoY comparison quarters, so raw and adjusted growth are identical. All figures converted from Rs. Lakhs to Cr (÷100); PBT minus tax reconciles to PAT exactly (₹118.97−30.31=88.66 Cr), confirming a clean, legible source table.
