Timex Group India's standalone Q1 FY27 (quarter ended June 30, 2026) print showed revenue of ₹218.90 Cr, up 29.6% YoY from ₹168.94 Cr, though down 6.9% sequentially from ₹235.20 Cr in Q4 FY26 — a seasonal pattern typical for watch/gifting-linked demand skewed toward the Jan-Mar quarter. Standalone PAT rose 70.6% YoY to ₹25.02 Cr (from ₹14.67 Cr) and EPS climbed to ₹2.44 from ₹1.33, even as PAT eased 8.5% QoQ from ₹27.34 Cr — again consistent with the softer sequential topline base rather than a fresh negative signal. No consolidated statement was filed this quarter; standalone is the only reported basis.
Q1 FY-2027 vs prior quarters
The margin trend is the standout: net profit margin expanded roughly 273 bps YoY to 11.40% (from 8.67%), aided by operating leverage on the higher revenue base and a lighter cost structure relative to income versus a year ago. Sequentially, NPM was broadly flat-to-marginally softer at 11.40% versus 11.59% in Q4 FY26. Neither this quarter nor the year-ago quarter carried any exceptional item — unlike Q4 FY26, which absorbed a ₹2.10 Cr Labour Code provision (₹5.31 Cr for the full FY26 year) — so the 70.6% YoY PAT growth is clean and needs no one-off adjustment.
The stock went into the print at ₹554.7, up 4.8% over the past month of trading.
What the summary numbers don't show
Tax expense ₹8.76 Cr — effective tax rate ~25.9% vs ~26.2% a year ago, broadly stable.
We found no analyst/brokerage consensus estimates for this quarter (a thinly-covered small-cap), so the print cannot be graded against Street numbers. Management has issued no formal quarterly guidance either in our records or via web search, so there is no prior outlook to check the print against. Beyond the board-meeting outcome letter and an unqualified auditor's limited-review report, no separate management press release with commentary was available for this filing. The quarter's other disclosed developments — the AGM notice for August 20, 2026 and the FY26 BRSR filing — are administrative and don't bear on the P&L. The result follows the company's own full-year FY26 disclosure of revenue crossing ₹800 Cr (+48% YoY), of which this quarter's ₹218.90 Cr forms the opening leg of FY27.
W1
Whether revenue rebounds from this quarter's ₹218.90 Cr in coming quarters given the seasonal pattern seen in Q4 FY26's ₹235.20 Cr.
W2
Whether the 11.4%+ NPM holds without exceptional-item tailwinds, since none featured in Q1 FY27.
W3
Any further Labour Code-related provisions after the ₹5.31 Cr full-year FY26 impact — company says it continues to monitor State-rule finalisation.
