Bengal & Assam's consolidated PAT fell 23.9% YoY to ₹196.5 Cr for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, even as consolidated revenue from operations rose 10.4% YoY to ₹632.96 Cr. Consolidated PBT itself was only modestly lower (₹94.95 Cr vs ₹99.23 Cr, -4.3% YoY); the bulk of the profit decline came below the tax line, where the group's share of associate profit — from JK Tyre & Industries, JK Lakshmi Cement, JK Paper and other associates — fell 31.8% YoY to ₹127.40 Cr from ₹186.81 Cr. NPM compressed sharply to 29.9% from 43.0% a year ago, and consolidated basic EPS fell to ₹163.63 from ₹216.99. Sequentially the picture was a mild extension of the same trend: revenue was roughly flat versus Q4 FY26 (+0.4% QoQ to ₹632.96 Cr) while PAT eased 3.5% QoQ from ₹203.68 Cr.

The group's own operating business (excluding associate income) held up better than the headline suggests: PBIT before unallocable expenses and finance costs was ₹109.23 Cr, down only 3.7% YoY, and profit after tax before associate share slipped a similar 3.5% to ₹69.14 Cr. Segment-wise, Polymer & Textile — run via subsidiary J.K. Fenner (India) and roughly 74% of consolidated revenue — was the bright spot, growing revenue 5.7% YoY to ₹486.88 Cr with PBIT up 12.0% to ₹82.36 Cr. That gain was offset at the group level by the residual 'Others' segment, whose PBIT fell 33.7% YoY to ₹26.05 Cr even as its revenue grew 6.1%, pointing to margin pressure outside the core tyre-components business. No exceptional items featured in either period, so both the YoY decline and the associate-income drop are organic rather than one-off-driven.

Quarterly consolidated PAT, ₹ Crore

Standalone (parent-only) numbers diverge materially from the consolidated story: standalone PAT was essentially flat YoY (+0.6% to ₹2.78 Cr) on revenue of ₹36.78 Cr, confirming the profit swing sits entirely in the associate/subsidiary layer, not the parent's own interest-income and treasury operations. Coverage of the stock is thin — per our pre-result read, promoters hold 72.87% and analyst commentary is sparse — and a web search turned up no Street estimates for this quarter, so vs-street stays unknown; management has no formal guidance on record either, so vs-guidance is also unknown. There is no separate management press-release commentary in this filing beyond the standard board cover letter and segment annexure.

Associate income trajectory — share of profit from JK Tyre/JK Lakshmi Cement/JK Paper fell 31.8% YoY to ₹127.40 Cr; a recovery here is the key lever for consolidated PAT next quarter

  • W2

'Others' segment PBIT fell 33.7% YoY to ₹26.05 Cr despite 6.1% revenue growth — watch whether this margin pressure persists into Q2 FY27

AGM on September 8, 2026, following the record date for a ₹50/share dividend — watch for any capital-allocation or FY27 outlook commentary

No exceptional items in current or year-ago quarter. Consolidated PAT bridges as PBT ₹94.95Cr − tax ₹25.81Cr = ₹69.14Cr (PAT before associates), + ₹127.40Cr share of associate profit = ₹196.54Cr reported PAT for the period; of this, NCI ₹9.94Cr and owner's share ₹186.60Cr. Standalone PAT was near-flat YoY, a >20pp divergence from consolidated growth — flagged in summary.
