Standalone revenue from operations rose 21.8% YoY to ₹65.45 Cr, with PAT up 30.8% YoY to ₹7.52 Cr (EPS ₹2.05 vs ₹1.57) — the bottom line again outgrew the topline, continuing H1's run of ₹18.48 Cr profit against ₹12.13 Cr a year ago, +52.3%. Margins expanded YoY on both fronts: OPM to 16.87% from 12.76%, NPM to 10.90% from 9.97%, with cost of materials falling to roughly 49% of revenue from ~61% a year earlier — the main driver of the YoY improvement. Sequentially, though, the quarter cooled off an unusually strong Q1: revenue was down 1.6% QoQ, PAT fell 31.4% and OPM retreated from Q1's 23.21% peak — the company's own filing to exchanges frames this plainly as "easing 31% QoQ off strong Q1." The driver sits in the cost lines rather than volumes: Q1 carried a ₹7.61 Cr inventory build that suppressed reported expenses, while Q2 saw a ₹3.64 Cr inventory draw-down that added back to cost, pushing total expenses up to ₹58.88 Cr even as revenue was roughly flat QoQ.
Q2 FY-2027 vs prior quarters
There is no analyst consensus or brokerage preview on record for this quarter — Chemcon is a sub-₹1,000 Cr mcap name without regular street coverage, so vsStreet reads unknown rather than a miss. Management has issued no formal numeric guidance either, in our records or around its September 23, 2026 investor meeting, which per its own notice covered "business updates, sector trends and current capacity execution" without quantified targets — so this print is judged purely on its own YoY trend. That capacity-execution backdrop does show up in the P&L: finance costs jumped to ₹0.67 Cr from a near-nil ₹0.09 Cr a year ago, and depreciation rose 37% YoY to ₹3.80 Cr, as current borrowings climbed to ₹27.26 Cr (from effectively nil) and capital work-in-progress held at ₹21.02 Cr — consistent with an expansion still being funded and depreciated ahead of its full volume contribution. Separately, the Board considered declaring a dividend at today's meeting but chose not to, having already paid out ₹23.81 Cr in dividends earlier in H1.
The stock went into the print at ₹197.1, down 13.9% over the past month of trading.
For context: this is the second-highest quarterly PAT of the last 6 quarters.

Whether OPM holds near the YoY-expanded ~17% level or reverts further toward Q1 FY27's 23.21% peak as the current inventory drag normalizes
W2
Capacity execution flagged at the September 23, 2026 investor meet — next quarter's revenue trend will show whether new capacity is adding volume
W3
Finance cost trajectory (₹0.67 Cr this quarter, up from near-zero) as current borrowings (₹27.26 Cr) are drawn further for the ongoing capex program
Standalone only — company has no subsidiary/associate/JV (Note 5); figures converted from Lakhs. A ₹0.15 Cr prior-year tax true-up sits inside the year-ago quarter's tax line; immaterial, no adjustment applied. Total income, PBT and PAT all reconcile exactly at this precision.
