Revenue grew a strong 31.3% but core profitability weakened (OPM fell to 8.18% from 9.42%), with much of the PAT jump coming from a near-20x rise in other income and off a very small base (₹0.8cr→₹2.1cr), so quality is below what the headline growth suggests.

Exxaro Tiles reported a strong year-on-year Q1 FY27 on a consolidated basis: revenue from operations of ₹85.22 Cr, up ~31% from ₹64.93 Cr a year ago, and net profit of ₹2.07 Cr against ₹0.81 Cr — a 2.6x jump. Net margin widened to ~2.4% from ~1.3% a year earlier, the growth flowing through more than proportionately as the vitrified/ceramic tile business scaled; the consolidated print includes subsidiary Exxaro Ceramic Ltd, and the parent alone earned a slimmer ₹0.95 Cr PAT on ₹73.79 Cr revenue, so the group story is materially stronger than the standalone one — readers should anchor on the ₹2.07 Cr consolidated figure.

The headline QoQ optics are misleading and should be read as seasonality: revenue fell ~15% sequentially from ₹99.90 Cr in Q4 FY26 (the March quarter is the tile sector's seasonal peak) yet PAT still multiplied off a near-breakeven Q4 (₹0.20 Cr, ~0.2% margin), so the sequential profit surge reflects a very low prior base rather than fresh operating leverage — YoY is the cleaner read. There are no exceptional items on either side, so the reported growth is also the underlying growth. Exxaro is a micro-cap with no brokerage consensus or formal management guidance on record, so there is no street or guidance benchmark to judge this against. Alongside the results the board set the 19th AGM for 26 September 2026; the company also reiterated its commitment to invest in a UAE-registered entity that will become a wholly-owned subsidiary, a consolidation item to watch in coming quarters.

Unaudited (limited review). Source in Rs lakhs, converted to Cr. No exceptional items either period. Consolidated adds subsidiary Exxaro Ceramic Ltd — roughly doubles PAT vs standalone. Tax includes MAT credit reversal netting off current tax. Scanned pages faint but clean typed tables cross-check cleanly.
