Momentum Test: Can Ingrevia Keep the Q1 Pace?
After a blowout Q1 FY27—revenue +25%, EBITDA +36%, PAT +41% YoY—the Street is primed for a sustained run. But valuation skepticism and macro headwinds linger. What continuity looks like, and where the Street sees cracks.
What to Expect
After a stellar Q1 FY27, the bar is high. Revenue growth in the 22–28% range YoY (tracking ₹1,350–1,400 Cr) would be consistent with CDMO momentum and full-year guidance, while EBITDA margins at 15.5–16% would suggest pricing power holding up despite cost inflation. PAT growth in the 30–40% range would signal operational leverage intact. A downside miss—revenue growth 50bps, PAT growth <25%—would test whether Q1 was a one-off or the new normal.

On Track?
Q1 FY27 was a breakout—25% revenue, 36% EBITDA, 41% PAT growth YoY suggest the CDMO cycle is firing on all cylinders and the company is gaining share in specialty chemicals. Full-year FY27 guidance, if sustained at this pace, points to revenues in the ₹5,400–5,600 Cr range and mid-16% EBITDA margins. Q2 continuity—no reversal of client orders, no margin slip—would validate the run-rate and signal FY27 is a stepping-stone, not a peak.
What the Street Says
Since Last Quarter: Filings & Events
1 · Electronics Subsidiary (Oct 13, Oct 1)
Jubilant Ingrevia incorporated Jubilant Advanced Electronics Limited as a wholly owned subsidiary to enter Electronics Development and Manufacturing Services (EDMS). Strategic play into adjacent services; watch for capex, revenue ramp timelines, and competitive positioning.
2 · Zettaone Acquisition (Aug 18)
Binding term sheet to acquire 40% stake in Zettaone Technologies for ₹189.2 Cr. Aligns with electronics/next-gen capability building. Watch for deal closure timing, integration progress, and any capital calls.
3 · Senior Supply Chain Exec Exit (Oct 1)
Sr. VP Supply Chain, Birajeev Singh, resigns effective Nov 5. Routine turnover or signal of operational stress? Monitor for any guidance commentary on supply-chain resilience.
4 · Commercial Paper Issuance (Sep 24)
₹100 Cr CP issued on Sep 24 at 90-day tenor (maturity Dec 23). Liquidity management; routine for capex-heavy cycles. Low signal unless accompanied by drawdown of credit facilities.
5 · Dividend KYC Withholding (Oct 14)
Final dividend for FY26 withheld for select shareholders due to KYC non-compliance. Routine administrative; no operational impact.
Valuation & Price Setup
Stock at ₹604 is 31.75% off ATH (₹885), though +12.41% off the 52-week low (₹537.3). Technicals: RSI 39 (neutral), trading below SMA20 (₹632), SMA50 (₹662), and SMA200 (₹663.5)—a bearish setup despite fundamental momentum. Analyst consensus of ₹967 implies 60%+ upside; risk-reward lopsided if Q2 sustains the Q1 run-rate. Watch price action on result day—breadth breakout (volume, sector rotation) vs profit-taking on any miss.
The Setup
Jubilant Ingrevia enters Q2 FY27 print as a story of execution resuming: a CDMO cycle firing, a diversification bet (electronics) in motion, and analyst consensus firmly bullish. The Street expects 22–28% revenue growth, stable-to-rising margins, and 30%+ PAT growth. Price action—down from all-time highs but fundamentals strong—sets up a momentum test: does the company sustain Q1's trajectory, or does the print reveal cracks in capacity, pricing, or pipeline? Watch revenue growth rate (is it accelerating or settling?), EBITDA margin (pricing vs cost), and any commentary on CDMO order book and Zettaone/electronics timeline.
Three things to watch on result day:
1. Growth momentum: Does revenue growth hold 25%+ YoY, or does it slip to 20%? That signals CDMO demand durability.
2. Margin resilience: EBITDA margin at 15.5%+ keeps the runway. A 50bps+ slip invites valuation debate.
3. FY27 guidance refresh: Watch for updated full-year commentary—if the company raises, the Street's ₹967 target is conservative; if guidance is capped, consensus may need revision.

Jubilant Ingrevia's consolidated Q2 FY27 (quarter ended September 30, 2026) print showed revenue of ₹1,394.23 Cr, up 24.4% YoY from ₹1,120.73 Cr and up 7.2% QoQ from ₹1,300.27 Cr, while consolidated PAT rose 60.4% YoY to ₹111.43 Cr from ₹69.47 Cr (+5.3% QoQ from ₹105.82 Cr), with EPS at ₹7.07 against ₹4.40 a year ago. Standalone PAT was ₹70.40 Cr on revenue of ₹1,225.95 Cr — materially lower than consolidated, as expected given subsidiary contributions, and consolidated is the basis used throughout. There were no exceptional items in either the current or year-ago quarter, so the growth above is clean and needs no adjustment.
Q2 FY-2027 vs prior quarters
The YoY profit beat was driven almost entirely by a turnaround in the Chemical Intermediates segment, where segment result jumped to ₹51.56 Cr from just ₹7.95 Cr a year ago (+548%) on 23.7% revenue growth to ₹565.19 Cr — margin recovery here, not the larger Speciality Chemicals business (result +9.8% YoY on 27.2% revenue growth), is the real story. Nutrition & Health Solutions also contributed, with revenue up 49.9% YoY to ₹270.70 Cr and segment result up 88.6% to ₹31.34 Cr. Consolidated net margin expanded to 7.94% from 6.14% a year ago, and operating margin (PBT excluding other income, plus finance costs and depreciation, over operating revenue) improved to roughly 15.2% from 12.1% YoY — though it eased marginally from 15.3% in Q1 FY27, a sequential plateau rather than a slip.
The stock went into the print at ₹637.45, up 0.5% over the past month of trading.
For context: this is the highest quarterly PAT in the last 6 quarters on our records; PAT has now risen for 3 consecutive quarters; revenue is at a 6-quarter high.
FY27 EBITDA guidance maintained at ₹750–800 Cr. Sequential revenue and EBITDA growth expected across Q2–Q4 driven by fine chemicals, CDMO, and nutrition. MPP plant on track for end-2026 commissioning. Niacinamide capacity targeting 70% utilization by year-end.
— This quarter: met
Against our pre-result preview, which flagged revenue of ₹1,350–1,400 Cr, EBITDA margin of 15.5–16%, and PAT growth of 30–40% YoY as the on-plan range, the quarter beat on profit (+60.4% YoY, well above the top of the range) and landed inside the revenue range, but margin came in just under the floor at ~15.2%. Management's FY27 EBITDA guidance of ₹750–800 Cr, maintained as of the Q1 call, looks on track: H1 FY27 EBITDA (PBT + finance costs + depreciation) totals roughly ₹430.7 Cr, already more than half the full-year band with two quarters left, consistent with the sequential growth management projected for Q2–Q4. The quarter's other developments were largely non-P&L: the company incorporated Jubilant Advanced Electronics as a wholly owned subsidiary on October 12 to house a proposed 40% strategic stake in Zettaone Technologies India (~₹189.2 Cr consideration), the electronics diversification play the Street has been debating since Q1; a senior VP of Supply Chain resigned October 1, with no visible operational impact in this print; and the company withheld its FY26 final dividend for shareholders non-compliant with KYC norms. No standalone management press release was filed alongside the board outcome letter, so the numbers here are read directly from the financial statements rather than management's own framing.
