Managing Director, Shankara Buildpro Limited

Shankara Buildpro delivered another quarter of strong performance, marked by robust volume growth. Buildpro recorded a healthy 37% YOY volume growth in Q3 and 38% growth during 9MFY26, with healthy growth momentum across its key markets & product categories. With this performance, Buildpro remains well on track to achieve Its 1 million tonne volume target for the year, further reinforcing its leadership position as one of India’s leading building materials marketplace. Industry demand on the steel side has been encouraging, providing continued impetus to our volume growth. We expect this momentum to sustain in the coming year as well. On the other hand, non- steel categories continued to face industry headwinds through Q3 & 9M; however, we remain optimistic about an improving operating environment going forward. This quarter also marked a significant milestone with the successful listing of Shankara Buildpro following its demerger from Shankara Building Products. The listing provides investors an opportunity to participate in a focused, pure-play building materials marketplace business model. Post demerger, Buildpro operates as an asset-light platform with higher capital efficiency and superior ROCEs, aligning well with our long-term growth and profitability objectives. Overall, we anticipate a healthy close to the financial year and remain confident about FY27, backed by strong execution capabilities, sustained growth in the steel segment, and a potential recovery in non-steel categories.
