VEON's Beeline Kazakhstan has become the first operator in the country to launch Starlink's satellite-to-mobile service. This partnership allows customers to access apps and messaging via their smartphones in areas with no terrestrial mobile coverage, directly connecting them in cellular dead zones. The service, which requires a clear view of the sky, will initially be free for customers and managed through Beeline Kazakhstan's super app, Janymda. VEON's Bangladesh subsidiary, Banglalink, has secured a Payment Service Provider (PSP) license from Bangladesh Bank, enabling its entry into the country's digital payments market. Banglalink plans to commercially launch its new digital payment service, Mukto Pay, in September 2026.
