Vishay Intertechnology introduced the VOLA617A, a new Automotive Grade phototransistor optocoupler. This device is designed for electric vehicles, including emerging 800 V battery architectures, and industrial automation systems, offering high galvanic isolation. It features an isolation voltage of 5000 VRMS and can isolate DC voltages up to 1000 V, making it suitable for next-generation high voltage EV platforms. The VOLA617A operates over a wide temperature range and meets dual AEC-Q102 qualification standards.

Vishay Intertechnology expanded its optoelectronics portfolio with two new Automotive Grade PIN photodiode ambient light sensors, VEMD4210FX02 and VEMD5525FX02. These AEC-Q102 qualified sensors offer enhanced optical accuracy and reliability for harsh environments, featuring spectral sensitivity matched to the human eye with no IR bump. Designed for automotive applications like automatic light control in displays and industrial backlight dimming, they ensure precise visible light measurement and stable spectral accuracy. Samples and production quantities are available with an eight-week lead time.

Vishay Intertechnology introduced its new IHDV line of high voltage power inductors, featuring four initial devices for next-generation automotive, energy, and industrial systems. These inductors offer 1.5 kV isolation voltage, continuous operation up to 180 °C, and soft saturation performance. Available in compact 0808 and 1008 case sizes, they provide significantly higher impedance for high frequency filtering and are suitable for applications like on-board chargers and battery-charging circuits.

Vishay Intertechnology has expanded its Gen 7 platform of 1200 V FRED Pt® Hyperfast rectifiers with six new devices in the eSMP® series SMPC HV package. These 1 A, 2 A, and 3 A rectifiers are optimized for industrial, automotive, and energy applications, offering improved efficiency, lower switching losses, and enhanced reliability. The new devices feature fast recovery times, low forward voltage drop, and reduced junction capacitance, with AEC-Q101 qualified versions available.

Vishay Intertechnology announced an expansion of its ILHB series of Automotive Grade multilayer chip ferrite beads. The updated devices now offer smaller case sizes (0402 to 1206), increased current handling up to 6 A, and a wider impedance range from 10 Ω to 2700 Ω. This expansion provides two to three times the current capability for the same package size and impedance, enabling broader application in EMC noise reduction across various industries.

Vishay Intertechnology introduced a new 200 A power module, the VS-HOT200C080, designed for 48 V traction inverters in light electric vehicles (LEV) and belt-start generator/recuperation systems for mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV). This module significantly saves space by reducing board requirements by up to 15% and boosts efficiency by cutting conduction losses by 32% due to its best-in-class 0.45 m2 on-resistance MOSFETs. The integrated device features 80 V MOSFETs, a shunt resistor, bypass capacitors, and an NTC in a compact, insulated FlatPAK HC0 package, ensuring reliable performance across a wide temperature range.

Vishay Intertechnology has expanded its IHXL series of radial through-hole inductors with four new devices, including Automotive Grade options. These new inductors feature an iron alloy core material that improves core losses by 20% and reduces temperature rise, while also being offered at a lower price point. They provide high temperature operation to +155 C, excellent electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and higher inductance up to 10 H, serving applications in automotive, industrial, and renewable energy sectors.

Vishay Intertechnology introduced two new Automotive Grade optocouplers, VOWA617A and VOWA618A, featuring phototransistor output in a widebody package. These devices offer a comparative tracking index (CTI) of 600 and the highest creepage distance in their class at ">= 11 mm", providing enhanced safety margins for high voltage applications. Designed for electric vehicles and solar inverters, they are AEC-Q102 qualified and operate over a wide -40 C to +125 C temperature range.

Vishay Intertechnology announced its participation in PCIM Europe 2026, where it will showcase its latest passive component technologies, semiconductors, and reference designs. The company will highlight solutions designed to enable higher power density, improved thermal performance, and increased system reliability, aligning with the event's focus on electrification, decarbonization, and energy efficiency.
