Aarti Surfactants Fined ₹17.4 Lakh for Environmental Non-Compliance

Aarti Surfactants Limited has received an order from the Pollution Control Committee, U.T. Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, directing the company to pay an environmental compensation of ₹17,40,000. This penalty is for non-compliance with environmental standards observed during an inspection of the company's manufacturing facility. The company has submitted a reply to the show cause notice and is taking steps to comply with the authority's directions. Aarti Surfactants stated that this will not have a material impact on its financials or operations beyond the compensation amount.
