Abril Paper Tech Loses GST Appeal, Demand & Penalty Sustained

Abril Paper Tech Limited has announced that its appeal against an order from the Office of the Appellate Authority, Gujarat, Division 8, has been dismissed. The appeal was related to proceedings initiated by Abril International, now Abril Paper Tech Limited. The Commissioner of State Tax upheld the original demand order passed by the GST Department, confirming that the demand raised, along with applicable penalties, has been sustained. The company received this intimation via email on September 3, 2026. The original demand of ₹9,85,640/- was raised on November 17, 2021, due to an alleged lack of e-waybill. The company is currently examining the order and evaluating further legal remedies, stating that it does not envisage any significant impact on its financials or operations.
