Advait Energy Signs 1 GWh Battery Cell Supply Deal with Hithium

Advait Battery Ecosystems Private Limited (ABEPL), a subsidiary of Advait Energy Transitions Ltd, has executed a Master Supply Agreement (MSA) with Hithium, a BloombergNEF Tier 1 energy storage manufacturer. The agreement, effective September 18, 2026, is for the supply of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) prismatic battery cells. It is structured to support the offtake of up to 1 GWh of cells over the next year, specifically 314 Ah LFP prismatic cells. This supply is intended to fuel ABEPL's upcoming 2.5 GWh annual-capacity cell-to-container Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) assembly facility. The deal aims to bolster Advait's domestic BESS manufacturing and supply chain capabilities for utility-scale, commercial, and industrial energy storage applications in India. This partnership is seen as crucial for Advait's strategy to build an integrated, India-based battery energy storage manufacturing ecosystem.
