Leo Puri Appointed Independent Director & Chairman at Asian Paints

Asian Paints Ltd announced the appointment of Mr. Leo Puri as an Additional and Independent Director for a five-year term starting September 7, 2026. Following this, he will also assume the role of Chairman of the Board from January 23, 2027, succeeding Mr. R. Seshasayee. Mr. Puri, a veteran with four decades of experience in the financial sector, currently serves as Advisory India Chair at Apax and holds directorships at Fortis Healthcare and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories. His appointment is subject to shareholder approval, which will be sought via postal ballot. Mr. Puri meets independence criteria and is not related to existing directors or promoters.
