Avadh Sugar Appoints Rahul Chhabra as Independent Director

Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd has announced the appointment of Mr. Rahul Chhabra as an Additional Director in the category of Independent Director. The appointment, approved by the Board of Directors based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, is effective from June 15, 2026, for a term of five years, subject to shareholder approval. Mr. Chhabra brings extensive experience, having previously served as Secretary (Economic Relations) in the Ministry of External Affairs and held diplomatic positions including High Commissioner to Kenya and Ambassador to Hungary.
