Bannari Amman Sugars: Independent Director M Ponnuswami resigns

Bannari Amman Sugars Ltd announced the resignation of Sri M Ponnuswami (DIN:00015847) from his position as Independent Director, effective April 17, 2026. The resignation stems from his inability to appear for the online proficiency self-assessment test within the timelines stipulated under Rule 6 of the Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Rules, 2014. Consequently, Mr. Ponnuswami will also cease to be a member of the Stakeholders' Relationship Committee and Risk Management Committee of the company from the same date. The Board of Directors acknowledged and appreciated his valuable contributions during his tenure.
